It’s always good to have a change every now and then, and what better excuse to try a new hair style than the new season? I’ve been growing my hair for 2 years now, so I’ve had a tiny fear of going to the hair dressers as every inch of my locks are precious to me after its taken me so long to get my length to where it is. My last hair cut was 6 months ago, and I said to the hairdresser “please cut off just what you absolutely have to” and I was expecting the worst as I hadn’t been to the hairdressers before that for over a year and a half, but she checked it over and said its actually not bad at all, she cut the tiniest bit off the bottom and also did a little trick and added a few layers to make it appear longer, so it went well! I have been taking care of my hair a lot – very minimal heat and no dye etc, and after not changing it at all for over 2 years now, I convinced myself it’s time for a change.
So I put on a brave face and headed over to the hairdressers, I simply asked my wonderfully polite hairdresser, Kerry, to do what she thinks would look good, just keep as much length as possible. I just said I fancy a change, and left her to it! We had a lovely little catch up and a cup of tea as she is my regular and I haven’t seen her in such a long time, after a few hours in the chair, I left the salon feeling fantastic with the results! She really knows her stuff.
It feels so much healthier with that little bit cut off, I ADORE the colour, I feel so much better, I think it makes me look less pale and makes my eyes stand out. I think the cut works well with my face shape and I absolutely love the fringe, it’s such a big change. And it’s going to require a lot of maintenance apparently, so I’m looking forward to that challenge, I can’t wait to try out some styles with my new locks!
Im a very happy girly today! Eek!
