Myself and quite a few of my favourite people have been going to Signal 1 Total Access Live for the last 3 years. This time around, I thought I’d blog the day! Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I had to take the pictures on my phone, so I apologise for the lack of quality in the photography! iPhone 6’s can only do so much.
Myself and the girls got ready together & decided to go all out – plaites, glitter spray, gems, flower head bands – the works! It was so much fun, really got us in the mood for the trip!
We decided to head there in 2 cars to save money for taxis, and after the last 3 years we’ve learned there is strictly no food, drink or chairs allowed. We got there 15 minutes early and joined the queue, feeling sorry for the people who joined with chairs that we knew would be taken away at the gates. We didn’t queue for as long as we have previously, and were shocked to see that we are now allowed to take in chairs, so that’s something to remember for next year! There were so many people dressed up, so much glitter and bright colours I loved it! I was worried that I had gone too overboard but I certainly hadn’t!
We got through the gates and were all starving so we had a walk around to see what was available, fish & chips, donuts, pizza, coffee stop, ice cream vans, burgers. We all grabbed something to eat, found a place to set up a blanket and sat down to wait for the acts.
The sun continued to pop in an out all day, it went from freezing cold to warm every hour. I was in a constant pickle of wanting a coffee then a slush puppy! Myself and Reece grabbed a hot chocolate from the coffee stop, as it was the least ridiculous prices thing in the place. It was so yummy! And warmed me up nicely whilst we were listening to Callum Scott.
The acts coninuted to come on stage and perform, quite a few of them were newly signed groups or people were never heard of but they were all really good! The sun popped out for a while and Alesha Dixon came on stage and interacted with the crowd. Some people from the front got to go on stage and have a dance off, she also performed scandalous which is a classic fave of mine!
The sun stayed out for a while, typically as the day was coming to an end, but I made the most of it and grabbed a slush puppy! I haven’t had one of those in so long! I was tempted to get some donuts too but the queue for them was so long and never ever went down! They must have been really good!
I was truly enjoying myself, It was so good to be with the people I love and to get to catch up with my girls, and to spend the day with Reece by my side.
The day finished with Sigala, and boy was it saving the best until last! Such an amazing DJ, he took it old school and played us a few classics that took us all back, and some amazing songs that were in the charts too! He definitely had everyone jumping and dancing, it really was incredible.
After the act finished, we headed back to the cars and Reece had left his lights on, so we had a sudden panic thinking it wouldn’t start and half of us would be stuck there, luckily it did start and we all went back to Kelly’s house to finish the amazing day by ordering a curry. I truly went all out with the unhealthy eating, I felt a cold coming at the end of the night too, which must be from the weather never making its mind up.
Even so, I love the tradition of going with such amazing people and having a wonderful time, I really enjoyed myself. It was so good to see the girls again, I’ve missed them so much! As usual we had the best time, and I’m already looking forward to next year! Now I know to be a bit more prepared with a chair and a blanket too!
