I’m pretty sure I don’t speak just for myself when I say I’m a busy bee! We are all busy bees! The world is full of billions of busy bees rushing around to get from one place to the next, one task to the next, one bill to the next. It is so important in life to be organised, to stay on top of our busy lives and give ourselves chance to stop and acknowledge the world around us. Organisation is a real big part of my life, I have to do lists for every thing you can think of, schedules, planners, calendars, you name it, if it helps me organise my life… I’ll have it!

Here are my 5 top tips that I use to keep myself organised:

To Do Lists – A bit of an obvious one, but also so useful! A great way to get all of your tasks down on paper, you can make priority lists also. And there’s something so satisfying about ticking them off too!

Keep a Diary/Planner – Keeping your appointments and a schedule in a diary or planner is so useful! You know where you need to be and when! Just make sure you keep it with you – and check it!

Visible reminders – The problem with diaries and to do lists is that you can forget about them if they are out of sight, so I recommend keeping reminders in places you look often, post it notes in the fridge, by the TV, in the car, places you go a lot!

Whitebaords/Calendars – Keep a whiteboard or calendar on the back of your bedroom door, or in the kitchen so you can take a quick glance as you pass by. Having your weekly plans visibile is a great way to keep on top of appointments.

Alarms/Phone reminders – Setting alarms and reminders in my phone is a pretty common technique I use to make sure I don’t forget I things.  Like my upcoming phone bill or a weekly alarm on Sunday night to remind myself to wash my bedding. It’s a great way to keep on top of things because I always have my phone with me!
